Construction Angels, Inc. is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit charity that provides immediate financial assistance to surviving spouses and children of fallen construction workers who have given their life while working on our construction jobsites. Become more involved in 2014 and support ‘One of our Own’ in the Construction Industry with Construction Angels! If you belong to a Construction Association, and want to host a fundraiser for CA, please contact the President, Kristi Ronyak at 754-300-7220 for more information.
Furthermore, the Angels are hosting their Third Annual Charity Golf Tournament on September 26th at Woodlands Golf Course and Country Club in Tamarac, FL. This event has sold out over the last two years, and last year at Palm-Aire there were 232 golfers! This year CA expects both courses to be sold out again so get your tickets for the festivities before it is too late! “We look forward to this signature charity golf tournament each year now where people come from all over the state to play and enjoy the day to fundraise for a great cause!,” Ms. Ronyak says.
Construction Angels will host two events in 2014 in the state of Florida. The first of which will be on May 1st called the “Construction Angels May Day Spring Fling” hosted by Sims Crane! The event will take place in Plant City, FL at Keel & Curley Winery from 6:30pm-8:30pm, and will include LIVE MUSIC, a silent Auction, a 50/50 raffle, commemorative photos with the Angels, and some delicious locally grown and distilled strawberry & blueberry wine! Sponsorships are available for this Red Carpet fundraiser by contacting Dean at email@example.com!
Many other construction companies and associations throughout the state are hosting networking events in conjunction with a fundraiser to benefit Construction Angels in 2014. The American Society of Professional Estimators is hosting an event April 15th in Fort Lauderdale. The Construction Underground is hosting an event April 24th in Orlando. Rotary Club of Boca Raton Sunrise and Tampa has asked CA to present our charity this year at their breakfast meetings. The National Association of Women in Construction has asked the organization to present in West Palm Beach, Broward, and Orlando chapters! Others such as The BlueBook have asked us to have a booth at their GC Showcase at the Broward County Convention Center, and monthly newsletters in the “Construction Connection” helps us to get information out to national audiences, as well as “Allied Paving Equipment Magazine!”
In 2013, Associated General Contractors Florida East Coast Chapter chose Construction Angels as their charity of choice by hosting Thirsty Thursday events every other month to raise funds for the CA charity, and they are continuing in 2014! The networking events have increased awareness of the cause within our industry, and have also had success building stronger relationships amongst members, and new opportunities for potential members within their organization.
The Construction Angels’ charity is looking forward to expanding on a national level with the help of these strong companies and their members, but it is not limited to the assistance of the construction industry. We encourage you to become a part of our movement, and allow us to continue assisting the spouses and children of fallen construction workers who have had fatalities on our construction jobsites. Donations are always accepted on our website, at www.constructionangels.us or by mailing us a check. We encourage you to join our mailing list online as well to get mailings and updates. Construction Angels operates on a volunteer basis to provide financial assistance as well as assisting the surviving families of fatality victims in accessing programs such as hospice counseling & our affiliates.
