Construction Angels are the first responders to those construction families in need of assistance when the unthinkable has happened to them.
Below is a testimony from the construction company in memory of Fallen Angel Robert “Bob” Sikorski. Construction Angels were there to help Bob’s family during this time of need thanks to those of you from our industry that give so generously for them to do so.
[box type=”shadow” align=”aligncenter” ]Dear Construction Angels,
It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart to share that we have lost a dear friend, incredible colleague, and true hero to our community, Robert ‘Bob’ Sikorski, on the morning of Monday, November 25th, 2013. Bob was a role model in our civil engineering and construction industry for his excellence in technical expertise, personable skills in communicating effectively, and utmost dedication to getting the ‘job’ done right.
Bob has served in our industry for over 20 years, initially in his hometown in New Jersey and later in Florida. He had a reputable career having worked with the Florida Department of Transportation as well as engineering consultants including our firm as his last employer. He worked his way up from being a technician to eventually leading one of the largest transportation construction projects throughout Central Florida as the Construction Engineering & Inspection Project Administrator. Our team looked up to him particularly in the way he inspired his teammates to a successful project outcome through words of encouragement and his determined yet approachable nature.
Although Bob’s loss in tragic and mourned by all, our colleagues and I will never forget the joy he brought to our lives as well as the model example he set for us to follow. He was a son, husband, father, brother, caretaker, and a proud member of our Organization family. He will be truly missed by all. May he rest in peace.
