Co-Founder’s Corner – July 2013 Newsletter: 313.7 Million More!

Dear Construction Connection Members and Subscribers,

It’s hard to believe that on the first Independence Day in 1776, when America first celebrated its freedom from Great Britain, the American population was 2.5 million. Now it’s 316.12 million. That’s a 313.7 million person growth from then until now. Wow! Philadelphia was the largest city in 1776 with 40,000 residents. Today, there are over a dozen stadiums in the United States that each seat 40,000 or more people. Today, the population of Philly is estimated at 1,547,607, one-third the population of the current largest city, New York.

July 2013 Newsletter: Happy 4th of July!

We hope this month that you will enjoy how our partners have applied the American growth to challenges and solutions. Edwards and Zuck cover sustainability. Smith Currie and Fringe Benefits address our governmental system and the issue of regulatory burdens. Alliance Solutions Group and Software Advice provide testimonies and options to put today’s advancements in technology at work for optimum performance.

I’m not sure about you, but my mind races with all the topics in our industry to address that are related to population growth, from immigration reform to natural resources to land costs, education, transportation, housing, transportation services and so on… America has been a leading, innovative nation and those of you in the construction industry play key roles in America’s growth as we all work together to build the future. Thank you for doing your part.

Enjoy your celebration this 4th of July with your loved ones!
